Jaliyla Fraser delivers a powerful reminder that math achievement mirrors leadership behavior. She explains that student outcomes improve when leaders model the same commitment, curiosity, and courage they expect from teachers. Fraser challenges school leaders to look beyond compliance and instead create math cultures grounded in purpose, clarity, and belief in every learner’s potential. By fostering collaboration, supporting teacher growth, and addressing inequitable practices, leaders can ignite authentic math improvement. Her message is direct and empowering: when leaders lead with vision, accountability, and heart — math achievement follows.

In Part 2 of “The Correlation Between Your Leadership & Math Achievement,” Jaliyla Fraser underscores how leadership directly drives math outcomes. She challenges leaders to stop viewing math improvement as a teacher-only responsibility and start modeling the mindset, confidence, and consistency they expect from staff. Fraser emphasizes that principals who lead with vulnerability, clarity, and purpose create schools where math excellence thrives. She calls on leaders to disrupt limiting beliefs like “some kids just aren’t math people” and instead build cultures rooted in agency, equity, and rigor. Her message is clear: math achievement rises when leadership leads the learning.
